Jan, I think some i.virginica would do well there.  I have locally-collected
seed which I would be happy to forward, (I don't think seeds need the
phytosanitary rigamarole, do they?).  They produce lovely blue-violet,
nicely branched, species-looking blooms and will even take a bit of shade.
They come in with and a bit after the TBs here. I would guess your climate
might equal our Zone 8 or so? Where they are growing naturally, these either
stand in water nearly all year, especially winter, or are a least very
moist. Let me know. Will be harvesting them in a week or two.  By the way,
they will also grow in a moist bed, not necessarily a bog.
