Jan,

Iris pseudacorus and all its hybrids etc would do well there.  Iris 'Gerald
Darby' would do fabulously.  'Holden Clough' would do well too I think.

If you don't have these then I can send you some.  I have a few different
pseudacorus varieties, plus the other two in my garden.  Gerald Darby at
the very least will grow in standing water to growing in a normal garden (I
have planted in both) so it would be ideal.  Plus it has the lovely dark
base to the foliage, blue flowers with wonderful almost black stems.

Any of the Calla Lilies would do well there, plus any Canna Lily will
tolerate soggy to dry.

I can probably come up with more things for the soggy patch if you want.
just ask.
