JI:Waka Murasaki & Loyalty

I'm hoping to get some info on these 2 JI.  I've never had Japanese 
irises before, but I succumbed at a local nursery (I was swayed by 
the fact that they were budded!) and bought them.  They were hand 
labelled with marker "Waka Murasaki" and "Loyalty", but I wouldn't 
bet much that they are true to name. I have bought mislabelled things 
there before (when will I learn?). They both just bloomed, about 18" 
to 2 feet high. The blooms on both plants seemed kind of battered, 
like color breaks of white/faded areas. 

I've read through the AIS info on JI, and have put them in what 
should be a good location, with plenty of room, and will give them 
lots of the right fertilizer.  If I take good care of them, will they 
get taller?  What about the color - is that what they normally look 
like, or are they diseased or malnourished?  Any advice will be 
appreciated!
