According to our local Ruellia expert and Spuria hybridizer, Dr. Charlie Jenkins, the pink ruellia is called Chi-Chi. It's botanical name is Ruellia Brittoniana.
R.Brittoniana readily seeds itself. It does not make a very good landscape plant because of it quickly turns into a weed all over the yard.

I found a pink-flowered wild petunia (Ruellia sp.) out in the pasture
yesterday. Anybody know if this is unusual/rare? I've never seen a
