varigated iris

Is anyone into hybridising varigated TB's, in order to get different color blooms, sure would appreciate any help or info about varigated iris. Even as what to cross would be helpful. New at this myself. Would you take any green TB and a varigated TB to cross? What would be the ratio of varigated to green TB's you might get? Thanks loads for any help.
