Dennis,

Maybe not.... you might just have a variable there.  i know that there are
forms of variegata that have yellow rather than orange seeds.... maybe you
have another form again.  Of course, maybe the variegated form has orange
seeds?  Mine has always been sterile so I don't know.  I DO know though
that there are the two forms of the green foliaged species.
