Thanks for all the information. The only cross that I kept track of is
Canadian Streaker X Honky Tonk Blues, both purple leaf base. The only
plant I kept (variagated foliage) doesn't have pbf, and to the best of
my recall, neither did any of the siblings. Of course there is the
possibility that I had mixed up the tags during planting.
I have noted that some pbf is more red then purple and certainly there
is a large variation in extent of distribution. I have also noted
plants that have dark purple on the flower spathes that don't have
much colour on the base of the plant.
With it being a chromosomal inheritance there should be no effect of
selecting plants with more intense colour.
