RE: OT: Deer and other neighbors

We have had 4 legged critters all my life and electric fence most of it. We
have used it to keep the horses in, the coyotes out and the dogs from
jumping. All of them VERY quickly learn where that fence is and to respect
it. I was/am in more danger from the fence than the critters are. They all
seem to have a built in sensor for it and I find it when I back in to it
while weeding or mowing!! None of them are strong enough to harm you or the
critters. They sure make a nice wake up call though!

A 7 1/2 foot fence with electricity in a single wire
around the top works great in keeping the deer out.
The 4-legged kids are usually too short to come in
contact with the electricity.
