Along with people being dismissed from World Com and running
loose both night and day looking for food, we also are plagued with
the evil emus. Actually, the emu business went bust before WC.
Time was when just one emu egg alone cost $600 and a pair of
emu chicks could run into the thousands. Now that a lot of the
emus have been let loose, they are just another critter to contend
with. I have been told that when you see one, it is best to leave it
alone because they have a swift hind kick that can be deadly! I'll
keep you posted if they start to nibble on irises. Someone should
turn a few loose in Texas to devour Donald's grasshoppers.
