Grasshopper Control

I had a recent outbreak of grasshoppers and have been following the
discussion of how Donald has been fighting the war. A week ago I was in
the local feed store and on the counter top was a big display for
Nolobait. The large grasshopper on the label caught my attention.
Apparently it is a grasshopper specific bait that does genetic damage to
the grasshoppers and is supposed to give control for YEARS! The label
says that it takes 3 to 6 weeks before you start seeing results. That
was a dissapointment to me but I went ahead and got some anyway. I
applied it the same day. Yesterday my wife asked me what had happened
to all the grasshoppers. One area that I had put some in now has no
grasshoppers at all, and that was after only one week. I'll check a
larger area today and see what resullts I've gotten there.
I'm speculating that it worked so fast because they were in a confined
area and for larger areas it takes much longer because of the potential
for new grasshoppers to come through.
