Hi Doris,
Yes you are correct It is my fault for not saying
anything. I am a wimp. It seems in other similar
circumstances, I would have voiced my disatisfaction.
I have noticed when irisarians get a poor iris order
they speak softly about it. It probably has something
to do with how close knit the iris community is.
Perhaps it has something to do with living in Region
13 where practically everyone is a well known iris
hybridizer/grower/judge.
And you are also correct in mentioning their help. I
think that might have been the problem. I know several
years ago, they used to employ local high school kids
to dig and pack orders. They probably were not aware
that rhizome size and correctly named varieties are
important in an iris order.
