I forgot to say that AIS does not oversee or give any financial help
for the Siberian popularity poll. We pay for it and administer it
ourselves. Also, the results (to my knowledge) have never been
published in the publication, the AIS Bulletin. SSI is a part of AIS
being a section of the parent org.
Most groups affilated with AIS are sections but there are also a
smaller number of cooperating societies such as the Aril Society,
etc.
I don't think TBIS is affilated with AIS...may be but I don't follow
what is happening on that front.
(apologies for not proofreading my initial post which was replete
with errors...some editor :-)
