Bill, (and everyone),

I know that the story said that coffee isn't strong enough to kill
them off, but I can't help but wonder if sprinkling coffee grounds
around plants would at least deter them? Maybe not, just a thought,
but I did do this around some tulips this spring after reading that
it would deter rabbits, and it seemed to work. Granted, our rabbit
population is down overall this year, but the rabbits we did see were
avoiding that bed... At the very least, they're a great soil
amendment, as brewed coffee grids have an almost neutral pH and they
break down fast.

Sorry if someone else already suggested this - I'm just a TAD behind
on reading the posts. Been diggin' new iris beds. ;o)
