Actually, I didn't do too bad on the awards this year. Nothing like
last year, but still.
a) I am extremely curious as to the total number of votes cast for the
Dykes. The dropoff is dramatic. Mesmerizer doesn't do so well here.
b) Not a single Wister, mainly because 'Local Color' has only been in my
garden for a year.
c) The first year I didn't vote for 'Baboon Bottom'. It tanked this year.
d) The Williamson-White was a saw-off. I voted the winner and Maureen
voted the runner-up so our "very-late-in-arriving-at-Roy's" ballots
didn't affect the results (don't tell Clarence!).
e) A whole bunch of medals weren't voted for. I won't vote an arilbred
if I've only got three. Same with siberians.
f) A bunch of AMs and HMs caught my attention, but I was happiest to see
'Eramosa Snowball' get an HM and most surprised to see the great
strength of 'Forever Blue' as compared to 'Ruby Eruption' (don't hit me
Chuck!) within the SDBs.
Anyway, I don't have the kiss of death. My taste is much improved. :-)
Regards,
Sandy Ives in Ottawa (where HM runner-up Mini Champagne has yielded 34
divisions after 10+ bloomstalks)
