Re: SPEC: Invasive Plants

Walter this is sad news to me! I unfortunately planted one of these in my JI
bed. It has taken over one third of my bed and I am now determined to get it
all out of there. So now I guess that means digging everything up that I
want to keep and roundup what is left in the bed? Bob and I have been so
upset each year to see more and more of this yellow in our bed. We will
probably never purchase a yellow Japanese Iris due to our experience with
this thing. It shoud be labeled INVASIVE to say the least. Loosestrife is
nothing compared to this! Wish I had read your post before I planted it in
my garden. It is sold around here as I pseudacorus, Giant Water Iris, and
the Holden Clough. What ever its called it is a monster! The only way it
should be grown is in a tub and then it will crawl out of that if now kept
after.
