TB: Buying for names

I had some friends who adored my perennial gardens, but
weren't gardeners themselves. They came over one day and
did a little garden tour where I pointed out this and that.
They'd ask *what's that* and I'd tell them.

Near the end the husband finally piped up and asked why I
named my plants such odd names like Edith Wolford or Roy
Davidson or James Marsh. Apparently since they were MY
plants they should carry MY last name.

I still chuckle about that at odd moments in the garden . .
