I think the current system is OK....One problem is the low number of
votes received - I believe region 14 (my region) returned less that 25% of
the ballots for example. Perhaps this reflects a lack of interest....
****I am sure it would be possible to add an "online popularity
poll" to the AIS website. No lists of Iris just a box for "type in" votes.
Anyone could vote - not just AIS members. The results would be tabulated by
the program so no more work for the RVP's etc. All types Iris could be
considered of course or there could be separate categories. All we need is a
volunteer to write the software......(Not me - I'm not qualified)****
Master Gardeners are OK with me.. the name put's one off though,
perhaps 'accredited horticulturist' would be more appropriate.
Looked up Symposium in the dictionary - kind of amusing - doesn't
mean anything like what AIS is using....

The Symposium discussion has hardly been a party...
One thing I dislike about Iris talk is when individuals post their
OPINIONS as if they were unarguable FACTS... get a grip people.
