Mary Lou: I think Hell's Fire is nicer in reality than in picture, more reddish glow to its dark color. Not a lot of blooms per stalk, and I don't think I will try to replace the scorched plant, but I did like its color. Heaven's Shore is a very beautiful sky blue, more attractive to my way of thinking than many light blues, which tend to seem sort of washed out. And Praise the Lord did just fine in my garden until the scorch got it, and we all know scorch is no respecter of iris, strong or weak. Besides the rich blue color, it has the most wonderful sweet odor. I intend to try to get it back. Because I had these, and some others that would fit, I once thought of making a "Theological Bed" or some such title, but I never seemed to have the right space available at the right time. As for the "Naked Ladies", I'd never heard that expression for what I always knew as Hardy Amaryllis, or Lycoris squamigera, till one of our iris club members used that name. Others do use the term, "Resurrection Lilies", and I've also seen them in catalogs as "Magic Lilies."
