Linda, I make my own mulch out of grass and oak leaves from my and my
neighbor's yards. If I run out of this I buy pine bark mulch, but I much
prefer mine.

Pat, what do you use for mulch? Have you experimented with different
types of mulch?
One of these days, I'm going to get around to mulching some of mine.
<So, between mulch and pellets, I keep the soil in good condition to
grow iris.
I apply the pellets each spring and dig in mulch when ever I redo a
