Do you have to apply Basagran every year?   Or, does it really kill the nuts
too?

Dorothy  --  I use Basagran to kill nutsedge, which otherwise quickly
engulfs certain portions of my beds.  It is applied in a spray without
harming the established iris plants.  You might want to have a look at it at
your local hardware store and see if it works on horsetail and thistle.  --
