Observations were to have been made between the time the iris resumed
spring growth and the end of bloom season, so if you choose to search the=

archives go back to early spring.  PBF =3D Purple Based Foliage, but the
subject tag has usually been simply PBF.

The trait is found in diploid species from central Europe, but not in the=

tetraploid species from southern Europe, so the question is whether in
modern TBs this trait might serve as a marker for superior cold-hardiness=
=2E
