CULT alfalfa & sprouts

I am not sure of the proper way to reply to posts received from the digest.
Let me know if this is not acceptable.

I believe that you can buy alfalfa hay for feeding horses. I am wondering if:
(1) this hay could be used as mulch and have the same effect as applying the
pellets/cubes discussed previously,
(2) this hay could be ground in a leaf shreader and spread about as a fine
mulch; again having the same effect as pellets/cubes.
Any thoughts?

I have never tried growing iris from seed. We heeded this group's advise
about when to take seed pods. Are their any special tricks for sprouting
and nursing LA? We were going to put them in Jiffy Pots or peat pots.

P.S.

>irises.

Dietes vegeta or Moraea iriodes

Thanks,

John

As long as I keep learning new tricks they can't call me an old dog.
