In arilbreds, it definitely seems to be controlled by a "suite" of
interacting genes -- and it exhibits a dosage effect. Someone who has
worked with TBs more than I have may be able to tell you more about them.=

Eventually, yes. It is experiments like this, and observations of the
seedling segregation, that make it possible to construct the predictive
charts.
