Maureen in Ontario and Rima in upstate New York have been bemoaning the
lack of rain in their neck of the woods. Here, I am feeling somewhat of the
contrary opinion.
I have been digging, dviding, trimming, cleaning, and labeling iris for our
local rhizome sale, which is to be held this evening. Yesterday, a storm
sneaked in - the weatherman said it was tropical moisture from Central
America (Don't cry for me, Argentina!). Of course, the iris were all in the
shed, and, of course, the shed leaks like a sieve, so I was out Early this
A.M. trying to get them all cleaned up and dried off all over again. This
is all probably due to the fact that I posted a message a few days ago
stating that it seldom rains here in the summer. ' '
