Smuggling is easy!

'Jim' was Jim Byrd, ex officio of everything as I recall. 'Peter' was
Peter Weixlmann; the assistant RVP of Region 2. :-|
If it's easy, it's not smuggling. I'd rather be frantic and successful,
rather than blasé and get the car siezed for failing to declare. :-(
We were extremely lucky in one sense. When we returnedthe lineup
crossing the border in the other direction was at least five miles long.
:-)
Following the 341 (at the stately Guest manor) Chris Hollinshead told of
his adventures crossing the US/Canadian border (successfully) with a
vanful. The customs agent was searching for drugs and weapons, not
siberians.
Anyway, the moral should be to tell the truth, nothing but the truth;
but if you must volunteer, do it for your horticulture/iris societies,
not the customs agent/border patrol. They get enough hassles. :-)
