OT: Irid Blackberry Lily

From: "william b. cook" <billc@atlantic.net>

I have noticed a big difference in the performance of Blackberry
Lilies here compared to how they did in Kentucky. In Kentucky, Blackberry
Lilies (Belemcanda chinensis) grew about 30"-36" tall, had decent
branching, and increased from rhizomes at a moderate rate.
Here, Blackberry Lilies are growing about 55" tall, have candelabra
branching, and are increasing rapidly at the base. I am even seeing some
tendency for repeat bloom on these plants. Others in the area are having
the same results with the Blackberry Lily. These plants are very tolerant
of high temperatures and humidity.
We had another thunderstorm with more much needed rain today.
