But the question is: what can you do with it.

On my system (Netscape), clicking on that brings up an index card which has
ONElist as the recipient; not too useful. Admitedly, it does let me type in the
address if I wish to make a personal reply, but something like
g*@loop.com  lets me just click on the reference and a reply window
automagically comes up. 

As my semi-neighbor DahliaMan pointed out, this does not work on all systems,
but it does save work for some, and if it reduces the personal replies going to
the whole list, it seems to be a plus.
