I'm a gardening fool or a fool for gardening; haven't decided which.I live
on 7 acres used to be considered rural land. I grow roses, daylilies, iris,
perennials, water lilies, herbs and veggies. Roses are mostly hybrid tea
and iris areJapanese,Siberian,Tall Bearded,Louisiana, and two other types
given to me by an 83 yr old lady, who said they were Dutch. There are
clearly two different kinds here and I am not sure what they are. All my
other plants are labeled with names and nurseries from which they came. I
like it that way.I use metal markers so don't worry about blackbirds! I am
so excited about iris-talk! I have one book (Iris, by Fritz Kohlein) and
now I have you! I can't wait to try alfalfa in one of my iris beds. Does it
work for JI ? I am ordering 14 new ones and can put that in bed before I
plant them. Should I? I found some places through you that carry JI and am
thrilled about all these new sites on the net. Thanks for inviting me and I
promise not to post so long a message next time. Sincerely, Donna Lockman
