Well said Walter.  Lady Friend has been one of my all time favorite irises.
Our garden will never be without Lady Friend.  But you are also right about
the cold tenderness and we have found that Lady Friend is thirsty, she likes
extra water.  I'm still amazed at the coloring in the blooms even as long as
we have had her, gorgeous blooms!
