Hi Carryl - Kathy Guest from the Buffalo, NY area.  Can't get much colder than
that.  Japanese Iris not only are hardy in this area.... I do believe they
PREFER it.  My JI's this year were EEEEE-NORMOUS.  

The important thing to remember with JI's is that they require a low Ph and
very moist conditions.  If you can meet that criteria... you'll have it made.
