come together at the border is someone elses guess.
No this was not a political thing, it was a means of keeping human
parasites out of the country. I think the particular parasite was a tape
worm that we don't have here, but I can't remember of hand.
Salami is not (or was not) made from cooked meat, and could contain
parasite eggs.
