Right now, at 1:00 PM EDT, it is 102 F. Last week, I saw a report
that indicated that more days of 100 Degree weather has occurred here in
1998 than in the years from 1889 to 1997. This is the fifth one since
that report.
On most such days, the hottest time of day is the early afternoon.
Thunderstorms and/or the sea breeze front cools things off later.

I am not really a country music fan, but some of the tunes I like.
One I heard yesterday, that I had not heard in years had the line "Joanie,
Joanie please don't cry..." It dates from sometime in the mid 1970's.
Could someone tell me who that was? I think Conway Twitty.
