Your judge sounds like a dog judge I watched judging last weekend in
Winnipeg. There was a lovely little piebald (black/brown/white) mini
dachie in a puppy class. Judge asked it to leave the ring prior to
judging, saying it was an abnormality. As both its parents are US &
Bermuda champs, the owner was upset - to say the least. Now,,,,,the
Winnipeg daxie club has decided to gather all the piebalds around (about
12) to parade in a specialty class later this year and send the judge a
colour photo. Another judge just didn't turn up at all. I asked why
the club didn't discuss these behaviours with the CKC but was told it
was too involved. They just won't use these judges again. It was a
sanction match anyway so CKC wouldn't do anything.
Had a lovely week in YWG. Coffee with Fiona & Barb J, and nursery
mooching with Barb. who had a mental health day from work. Had to
choose between YWG and the CIS picnic. Hard decision. Next year I'll
check my dates a bit more carefully.
Ginny, busily trying to ID siberian iris bloom.
