Welcome, Lynne - I hope you'll tell us more about your iris experiences.
Many dwarf irises prefer a colder climate than you have, but there are some
that will do better than others for you (anyone have any suggestions for
Linda??).
On the other hand - you have a wide iris palette to choose from; things like
PCN's (drop dead gorgeous flowers) and iris evansia.
I spent a few days in Solvang several years ago and remember it VERY
fondly.... like being dropped into Denmark... and wonderful shops.
