Anner in Virginia, where they call Maclura pomifera the Osage Orange rather
than Bow Wood, and a fine wierd prickly thing it is, bearing even finer wierd
fruits that are knobby, green and fragrant when fresh, and enchantingly
loathesome when rotten.
