I've found a practical current use for bois d'arc apples. They are very
attractive scattered through my fall yard arrangement of
a hay bale, pumpkins, gourds & corn. The only caution I give is when ready
to be thrown away, pick them up with your hand in a plastic bread sack,
then holding the apple turn the plastic down over them. That way no gum on
your hands.
