I sent a message about a young piano student (boy aged 14) whom I just
discovered is very much into irises. I took him on a tour of my garden, and
he is now keen to try hybridising. He is very struck by the idea of
rebloomers, and SA's (hasn't seen either yet) and loves dwarf and
Intermediates. Someone suggested that I allow him to help me name one of
mine. (God grant that I ever have one to name:-)
The thought occurred to me that a young boy might come up with some strange
ideas for naming irises, eg pokemon creatures. I would never have guessed a
grandfather would choose POKEMON for a name. :-) (Does George play the
gameboy?)
You sound as if you have been rather busy lately Mike. I guess you are
starting to divide and replant. That must be a major undertaking for you
each year.
