I was asked about my comment about bringing pods indoors. One of the
commercial growers onlist a few years ago said they harvest all their
stalks as the pods get close to ripening to make sure they dont' lose
any seeds or pods. They said they put the cut stalks with pods attached
in 5 gallon buckets. I forget the details - check the archives &
repost?
As mine start to turn color (they become sort of light green or whitish
before turning brown), the stalks on mine are often also turning brown
and drying up, so I just cut the stalks and lay them on the table or if
the stalk still is strong, stand them up in a jug of water with a bit of
Sprite.
