Maj:
Thank you for your bloom repost from your garden in Sweden. It was
interesring to read and compare to what has happened here this season,
especially as I grow several of the cultivars you mentioned.

No bloom here this year as the stalks were killed by frost a month ago
while they were just starting to develop.

Bloomed, but did not fall over as the stalks were stunted in their
development by the same frost.

Both bloomed without problems and put on a good show and are still in
bloom.
As for warm climate and long seasons, yes, it has gotten hot here already
this year - and then it has turned cold again. It was 85F (29C) here on
Thursday and Friday, is 65F (18C) today, and is predicted to be 30F (-1C)
tomorrow night. The longest season here is always winter. As I am located
just south of 42 degrees N latitude and you must be around 60, you must
have considerably more daylight in which to enjoy your irises in bloom.
