This is the desfription of SUTTER'S GOLD from Carl Salbach's 1944 catalog:

SUTTER'S GOLD (Salbach, 1941) One of the very few good two-roned yellows.
Large, well-formed blooms of fine texture. Standards clear apricot yellow
and falls deeper yellow with a brown overlay. Perfect stems. Free bloomer.
Mid-season. 38".
