I have the Dymo Lecta Tag labeler which does not last a year. I also have the Brothers P touch home and hobby one, it is no better. They do not make a clear tape for either. I believe the clear is the only one that will last. You have to get a larger size Brothers to use the clear tape.

Subject: [iris-talk] Re; Garden labeling
I am wondering if anyone has experience with the Brother P-Label laminated
paper labels in the garden. Do they hold up under the elements of sun and
rain?
I currently use EON's zinc labels (with stamped letters that are permanent
but hard to read) and I have some of the AAA engraved labels (which are
great but can cost as much as some older iris). So I am looking for a system
that is cheaper than using the AAA labels.
Dymo also makes a similar system but office supply businesses in our area
seem to stock a wider line of the Brother tapes.
