Your points are well taken. However, I think you misinterpret the rule. You
are not required to touch the base while rounding the bases. You will be
called out if the play is appealed by the opposing team (digesters, old hands
and such) to the umpire (John) and he saw it. Even then, unless you spit on
the ump, you don't get fined or thrown out of the game. All in all, games are
easy to play with rules. Why just look at the IRS tax code.
Ooops! Almost pushed that "send now" button fore I altered that tag. Then I
altered it. Then I changed it back cause I couldn't find one that said
