Hi Alexander,
I must have missed where in OR. you live. I recall it is a high
elevation but where? The desert, as in Bend, or on Mt. Hood? The location can
make a difference about what survives. Sometimes, the plants just die, bad
weather, insect invasion, soil was not prepped as well as needed, & just
rotten luck.
I use all those excuses, depending on my mood. <G>
