I have to agree with Sandra, I too in western Montana just pain when I
see all those messages in April that you in the south have blooms. Mine
should be at their prime next week also. Our spring is about 3 weeks
late this year. My peonies generally bloom for Memorial day and they
are just starting to open. Well, maybe the wait was worth it as I have
several new plants that are opening and they are beautiful. Such as:
Ragtime, Coral Charmer, Immortality to just name three.
Western Montana is getting moisture this year, a week ago we have close
to 2 inches of moisture in the Helena valley and last nite we had
another good rain, so maybe just maybe we will not burn up this summer
like we did in 2000.
Keep them growing. Caroline Hudnall
