CULT: SPU: HELP!!!

Hi all -
I recently had received three Rhizomes of a Spuria Iris. Not having any
experience with them, I planted them just like you would a TB. Well, the
TB's that I planted next to them are taking off, and the Spurias seem to be
dying an agonizing death...
Have I made a horrible mistake? Are they one of those swamp ground loving
Iris? The Rhizomes are still solid, but all of the foliage has dried out
and browned, is it too late to fix?
HELP!
