That is the piece of the puzzle that I was missing, I was unaware that they 
go dormant after bloom. They are at the end of a bed against the 
south-facing window wall on my house, and it is under an overhang, so it is 
easy for me to control the amount of water. (They are a bit isolated from 
the TB, so it should be easier for me to keep them separated.) Luckily, 
that is one of 4 locations in my Zone 5 property that can be termed a Zone 
7 microclimate (At least I have other "Zone 7 only" plants growing there 
for years with success.)
