Hi Pam:
    Nope. . don't cut the foliage back. That doesn't make Iris bloom! Best
thing you can do to insure blooms next year is to water during the hot
summer (you didn't say where you are), feed them, (I use fish emulsion -
there are other fertilizers that others use. . ) and keep your beds clean.
