Re: Yearly cutting back


Pam,

It's my understanding that you do cut off the stalk (unless you've 
set a pod on it) but cut the leaves back only once they've turned 
brown and will snap off the rhizome with a quick jerk backwards from 
the cut stalk.  The leaves continue to feed the rhizome, so should be 
left on till they die.

Is this not accurate, others?
