Thanks for the assurance that Ultra Clorox is OK. I have wondered about what dilution to use. Clorox never seems to hurt irises. I have even soaked rhizomes overnight till they turned white, and they grew just fine.

The concentration of the "old type" bleach was approximately 5.25% Sodium
Hypochlorite. The new "Ultra" (Clorox) contains 6.0% Sodium Hypochlorite.
The standard dilution of the former was one part of bleach to 9 parts of
water giving a "10%" concentration. There shouldn't be any major problem
resulting from using the same dilution. In point of fact, there will be an
increase in the potential to "sterilize" (for lack of a better word which
escapes me at the moment).
