I am very saddened by Carryl's passing. She was such a vibrant Lady and
full of love for so many things. I met Carryl couple years ago while in
Missoula for some shopping (I live in Helena, MT) and she invited me to
come and see their Club's iris plot at Old Fort Missoula. It was
wonderful and she was helping all the others label and make ready for
the annual iris show. The love shown in that plot of beautiful iris was
Carryl over and over again. She took time to point out some of the new
plantings and many of the old stand bys such as Great Lakes one of my
childhood favorites. Carryl will forever live in the hearts of so many
and I hope that her family can find comfort just knowing that so many of
us will remember her and I for one will plant a special iris this or
next year in her memory. Maybe someone will name that special iris that
is in the hatching stage after her, she deserves it. Caroline Hudnall,
